Repurchased Products

Hello Everyone! In my previous post I mentioned how I frequently repurchased YTTP products. As someone who owns more skincare and beauty products than a person needs, I rarely repurchases products. Honestly, I rarely use products up before they go bad. I try to minimize waste by giving products away to friends and family and have been on a low/no buy since late last year. But there are still those products as soon as they run out I always repurchases.

So here are some of the products I have now repurchased at least twice and have every intention of buying again once they run out.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water

  • Available in various sizes(100ml, 250ml, 500ml)
  • Prices: 100ml-$4.90, 250ml-$9.90, 500ml-$14.90
  • Purchase at Beautylish and Walgreens.
  • Pump top also available but limited availability.

My life was changed when I discovered micellar water back 2016. To those unfamiliar, Micellar water is made of purified water, hydraters like glycerin, and mild surfactants that create a solutions that feels like water, but breaks down and removes makeup with ease. It was almost like magic. Even the most stubborn waterproof mascara was no match for bioderma on a round cotton pad. It is gentle enough to use on my eyes, even with my contacts still in. It became a regular part of my skincare and makeup routine, where I regularly use it to clean up winged liner and my lip line. It’s been a regular staple in my life for four years.

I have tried other brands of micellar water, including the famous Garnier dupes, but nothing compares to the original. Yes, it’s pricier than other brands but it’s still affordable and a bottle will last you forever! Highly recommend buying it in pump form at least once. Though harder to find in the states(beautylish offers it a few times a year) it’s a much better delivery system and the pump can be put on non-pump bottles(I have been using the same pump for 2 years now)

Tarte Knockout Tingling Treatment

I am not quiet about my love of acid toning. It completely transformed my face. And one Tarte knockout is definitely my favorite AHA/BHA acid toner. People claim it’s a dupe for the famous P50 lotion for a fraction of the price. I have not tried P50, but can testify that Knockout is worth it’s hype. It helps with texture, acne, dark spots, you name it! It is not for everyone and HIGHLY recommend getting a sample or the trial size first.

This product is STRONG. In smell and strength. It seems odd to put this on a repurchased list because a bottle will last you forever!! Especially when you only use it a few times a week(would not recommend daily use because you risk over exfoliating.) However, after over a year of use I decided to replace it with a fresh bottle.

Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Acid Lotion

  • 170ml
  • Available at Yesstyle and some Korean Markets
  • Price varies but usually less than $20
  • Be careful buying from unauthorized sellers.

This, like knockout, was repurchased not because I used it up but it lasts so long even with consistent use that I used it long past the expiration date. Luckily, it’s a inexpensive product but with that low price you get a high quality product.

This potent hyaluronic acid penetrates your skin deep and hydrates and plumps from within. It’s a tricky product to figure out at first. So here’s a quick tutorial. Dampen your face, either with a facial spray or water. Then take a dime sized amount of the lotion and rub it all over your face. After it is equally distributed start patting it in until your face absorbs it. It will feel weird, though slapping yourself can be kinda fun, but this is the best way to apply hyaluronic acid to ensure the product is not pulling moisture out of your skin.

Stratia C+C Serum

Vitamin C serums are a tricky thing. The most effective of them contain pure vitamin c in the form of ascorbic acid, which will brighten your skin, fade dark spots, and even help your sunscreen effectiveness. The issue is AA is a very stubborn ingredient. Everything from light, water, and air will decrease its potency until it fully oxidizes, making it useless and dangerous for your skin. Some people prefer alternatives serums that use vitamin c derivatives(your body transforms them into AA when absorbed) because they last longer and are fairer in price, but they are not as effective as straight AA.

So when purchasing a Vitamin C serum it’s important to consider stability, which I previously believed required sacrifices. The product was going to be expensive due to its advanced formula, it might smell bad because the potent ingredients, it might be sticky or gritty making hard to absorb.

That was until I discovered the Stratia C+C serum. At only $25 this 15% Vitamin C serum(10% AA and 5% VC derivative) paired with a healthy dose of Coq10 utilizes a waterless formula by using evaporating silicones(silicones are safe! I will fight you on this). How does it work? You slide the silky formula(similar to a pore filling primer) all over your face. Then the silicones will evaporate from your faces while leaving behind all the active ingredients to be absorbed. I recommend waiting about 5 minutes after applying to guarantee effectiveness. It’s a revolutionary product that isn’t unpleasant to use and offers results!

Method Body Pure Peace Body Wash

  • 532ml/18oz
  • $6.99
  • Available at Target

I just love this body wash. It provides a nice clean with a divine scent and a steal at only $7. It is the only body wash I use anymore and I have been through countless bottles. Highly recommend! Also available in other scents if this one is not for you.

Eye Patches

  • Various brands but usually come with 60 patches
  • I like the Pixi and Good Molecules.

This is not about a particular brand or product. I’ve just developed a love of gel eye patches! They are great for dry skin winter, and hot sweaty summer. A refreshing pick me up to use during a spa night, doing makeup, or just watching tv. Stick them in the fridge for an extra cooling effect!

The Beet Shield

I know everyone, from influencers, derms, and estheticians, will hammer home how important sunscreen is for skincare. It’s the most effective anti aging product and prevent major skin issues like cancer. However, I hated wearing sunscreen. It was always sticky or broke me out. Don’t get me started on physical sunscreens not being friendly to darker skin.

But I knew how important it is, so I began searching for a sunscreen that was comfortable and effective. It seemed like an impossible task until I met beet shield. A gentle, antioxidant-rich day fluid this not only protects you from the sun but helps fight free radicals and environmental stressors through the day. It’s an ingenious product that lets you have it all! It’s lightweight, yet effective. Pricier than other sunscreens but honestly it’s worth it to me. I’m going on my third bottle.

Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser

  • 8oz
  • $8.99
  • Available at local drugstores and Target

I’ve gone through at least a dozen bottles of this stuff. Favorite cleanser hands down. Gentle, but effective and free of anything that could irritate your skin. Not the prettiest product but a staple in my life!

Peach and Lily Glass Skin Serum

My absolute favorite morning serum. Lightweight, fragrance free and makes your skin smooth and bouncy.

Every product on this list I highly recommend. If you have questions please let me know. And let me know what products you love to repurchase!
